3 Positional Rifle Competition
Field Rifle Competition Rifle Calendar for 2017 FIELD RIFLE There are awards for each grade in each match as well as two gun awards; 3 Positional Two Gun = 3 Positional Rimfire & 3 Positional Centrefire combined scores and Field Rifle Two Gun = Field Rifle Rimfire & Field Rifle Centrefire combined scores. The Champion is the shooter with the highest Four Gun aggregate. There is also a State and National Hall of Fame calculated by the number of events and positions won at a State or National Championship as well as records for Club, State, National and Australian Open for all positions, Two and Four Gun aggregates and juniors also. With the addition of the NRA match and Air Rifle the National Championships is now a 7 event Championship run over 6 days, the winner is always going to be the shooter who takes out the traditional 4 gun championship, however, to qualify for the international team that competes in the United States every two years for the NRA National Matches held at Camp Perry in Port Clinton, Ohio and in either Brisbane or New Zealand every other year for the Pacific Regional Championships, you must compete and make the top 4 for the USA and the top 6 for the Pacific Regionals in the 5 gun event which is the traditional four gun plus the NRA 3×40 Anysight Conventional Position match.
